| If fashion has always inspired you and you are thinking of making a career out of it Fornash, Inc. provides a great learning environment through our internship program. Our program allows college students the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge on how a successful retail / wholesale / fashion design business operates.
Our internship programs are available:
Summer Program: mid May – mid August
Fall Program: beginning of September - mid December
Winter Program: mid December – mid January
Spring Program: mid January – beginning of May
Applying for the internship:
To apply for our internship program please email us your resume and include a cover letter and references. Please do not send attachments; copy and paste your information in an email. Send your information to internship@fornash.com. Also indicate in your email which program you are interested in applying for – Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring.
Hours and College Credit:
*Hours are negotiable based on school work load and availability
*While our internship is an unpaid position, we do offer college credit with the approval and appropriate paperwork from your school.
Required Skills and Experience:
*Working on a Bachelors degree in Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandise but not required. Any degrees can apply for internship. We review all resumes
*Computer Skills - Knowledge of Excel and Word a must
*Computer Skills - Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator a plus but not required
*Some experience with retail sales, merchandising, and customer service
*Exceptional eye for color and designs
*Outgoing personality and strong self-image
*Detail- oriented
*Responsible & reliable
Responsibilities:
*Assist with daily operations of wholesale business
*Assist with managing wholesale accounts
*Assist with updating, maintaining and managing wholesale inventory
*Generate and maintain invoices for wholesale accounts through QuickBooks
*Fulfillment of goods to wholesale accounts
*Assist with updating and printing wholesale catalog
*Assist with retail business
*Assist in designing products for the store and our wholesale line
*Assist in selecting new products to be sold in the store
*Help design window and store displays
*Help set up and sell at fashion/bazaar shows
